Airlangga mengatakan penyesuaian terhadap skema tarif pungutan ekspor diharapkan memberikan efek keadilan dan kepatutan terhadap distribusi nilai tambah yang dihasilkan dari rantai industri kelapa sawit dalam negeri.
Pungutan yang dipungut dari ekspor dikelola dan disalurkan kembali untuk fokus pembangunan industri kelapa sawit rakyat. Ketersediaan dana dari pungutan ekspor dapat meningkatkan akses pekebun swadaya terhadap pendanaan untuk perbaikan produktivitas kebun dan mendekatkan usaha pada sektor yang memberikan nilai tambah lebih.
